This is just a tiny cottage dollhouse that was fun to build. I like using natural wood whenever I can, and it was also fun to use these tiny mosaic tiles as accent pieces. Whenever I bash a kit, it's usually to either add more windows, or enlarge the ones that are already there, and I did both of those with this kit. To me, small spaces are much more interesting, and I especially love the upstairs and the tiny sleeping spaces there. I ended up sending this house to my oldest and dearest friend, Karolyn. When we were little we'd spend hours and hours playing with our dolls and having tea parties, and she just "gets" this little obsession of mine. She has grandchildren now, too, and I hope they will enjoyplaying with this house for many years to come!

The ladder is an Etsy find, and the rug is a coaster. The table is a napkin ring, and I used extra pieces of the mosaic tile to make the top. The bathtub is from Crate and Barrel. |
