This was the first of two homes I built by renovating barns, and being a Real Good Toys kit, it was super easy to build. Turning it into a house took some effort, though. I had to change out the windows, and I think I ordered these from the Dolls House Emporium in the UK because the windows that come with the kit were too small and high for a house. I raised some of the floors to work better with the windows, and to add interest. I also changed up the loft to fit bedrooms. It was a fun house to build, unlike the other barn I made, and sometimes I think how much fun I have building these little homes depends on the color scheme. Anyway, I kept this one for awhile and then gave it to an awesome budding interior designer friend of my daughter's.

This is the first fireplace I ever built, and that wrinkle in the paper is going to bug me forever. The wood is some driftwood we found on the beach in Belize. The little basket to the left is from Belize too. |

This furniture set found its forever home in my mid-century inspired modern house, after I painted the cushions light green. That little votive/coffee table is there too! |

This chaise lounge was my first ever purchase from PRD Miniatures. It's such a great piece! That napkin ring-turned basket found its forever home in my modern patio home dollhouse. The rug is a coaster from Belize. |

I always love it when my kids photobomb these houses. And honestly, I'm not even sure which one that is! |
